We describes the synthesis of nano-structured ZnO crystals by nano-particle-assisted pulsed-laser deposition and their optical properties. A various types of the crystals such as nano-rods, pig-tailed nano-rods, cone and so on were obtained depending on the synthesis conditions. When these crystals were excited by the third harmonics of Nd:YAG laser, the crystals showed the stimulated emission, indicating the high quality of the crystals.
